The Varzuga River is located in the south of the Kola Peninsula, surrounded by a picturesque coniferous forest. The length of the river is 140 km. The river flows into the White Sea. The most of the river’s flow is located beyond the Arctic Circle.
Cold waters of the Varzuga River are rich with Atlantic salmon, trout, brown trout, grayling, pike, and perch.

The Kitsa River is a tributary of the Varzuga River and is located 2 km from the White Sea. The average age of the Atlantic salmon stock of the Kitsa River, as well as the Varzuga River is 3+1 years old.
